The area of the CW 265 showing is underlain by sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group.

A grab sample of a 2 to 5 centimetre wide vein assayed 0.69 gram per tonne gold and 3.85 per cent copper (Sample 38698, Assessment Report 621). The vein, which cut volcanic rock, contained occasional heavy chalcopyrite.
